Art and Music Production
Art/Music Production (AMP) is a unique course for 8th graders at Strongsville Middle School which offers an alternative and/or enrichment to full year art or performance music. AMP explores art and music technology and production concepts in use today within the professional world of advertising, animation, video game production and music technology. This course is taught by both a music and art teacher and projects are interdisciplinary involving art, music and put together through the use of technology. As this is a project based class, students must possess the skills to be self-motivated and organized to work independently and in small groups.
Examples of topics to be covered: Storyboards and the use of illustrations to tell a story. Printmaking and the creation of cover art. Photojournalism and the creation of a presentation. Advertising and Product & Graphic Design. The Art of Animation, music technology, music notation, MIDI, keyboarding skills, sequencing, loops, sound effects, audio recording, music for Film and video game design.
